What is a Ropes and Challenge Course?
The ropes and challenge course, located on the western end of John Griffin Park, is designed to test personal and group strengths and limitations, to explore new ways of communication and to build support networks. During the experience, participants undertake emotional, mental and physical challenges. It is not an athletic competition. The physical and psychological safety of the participants is always of the utmost and primary concern of the program instructors.
**The Ropes Challenge Course CANNOT be rented until the District obtains the services of a Ropes Course Facilitator!**

Who can rent the ropes course?
Anyone! Sports groups, scouts, church groups, family reunions, etc!
How do I reserve the ropes course?
- Contact the Recreation District at (719) 275-1578
- Have an alternate date available in case of weather or scheduling problems.
- Pick up all waiver forms, have them signed and turned in the day of the event to the facilitator.
