The 2022 Lifeguard Training Class at the R.C. Icabone Pool is Full

If you are interested in another session, please contact the Recreation District Office at 719-275-1578.

The Canon City Area Recreation and Park District is looking for lifeguards and water safety instructors (WSI) at the R.C. Icabone Swimming Pool this summer.

In order to be considered for hire you must be certified.  The lifeguard training class offered May 9th-May 12th  and May 16th-19th at the R.C. Icabone Pool is already full due to limited class space.

Lifeguard certification is not a guarantee of employment. You will learn how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies with the American Red Cross lifeguard training. Our courses are designed to arm you with the skills and knowledge to prepare you for a variety of scenarios in and around the water. With our lifeguard training, you will learn how quick response times and effective preparation are vital to being a lifeguard while also understanding the crucial elements in helping to prevent drownings and injuries.

The information on the class is listed above.
