Jim grew up in Salida Colorado, enlisting in the Army after graduation. Completing his enlistment in 1980, he started an apprenticeship as a sheet metal worker in Dallas Texas. He worked in Dallas as a journeyman sheet metal worker until 1991 when he returned to Colorado. He started his career with the Bureau of Prisons in 1993 as a Maintenance Supervisor and retired on January 10, 2014. He and his wife of 37 years, Eileen, plan on staying in Canon City to enjoy their seven grandchildren as they play sports and attend school in Canon City and Salida. He is excited for the opportunity to be a part of such a positive organization in our community.
